DAVID HERNANDEZ

Actor/singer/songwriter/model, David Hernandez, gained national attention with his powerful voice and affable personality as an American Idol season 7 finalist. He began acting and singing at age 6, starring in musicals and performing with various theatre companies throughout Arizona. He began writing original music and recording his material as a young teenager. A Phoenix native, Hernandez recently moved to Hollywood where he is writing new songs, working in the recording studio producing his latest music, and pursuing his passion for acting. He has already completed his first feature film as the lead in the movie Synthetic Truth.

In addition to American Idol, David has showcased his talents on The Ellen Show, The Today Show, MTV's TRL, EXTRA, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Teen Choice Awards, TV Guides' Sexiest Stars, Idol Tonight, Idol Gives Back and FOX-TV. A once-in-a-life-time invitation came knocking on David's door. He was asked to sing at the Inaugural Kick-Off Celebration ball for President Barack Obama. He was honored to share the stage with Jamie Foxx, John Legend and Maroon 5, along with event hosts Jessica Alba and legendary TV producer, Norman Lear. Most recently David was personally asked to open up for Grammy and Tony Award winning Dreamgirl Jennifer Holliday. David counts Stevie Wonder, Ne-yo, Donnie Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson and David Foster among his musical influences. The Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy has enthralled Bay area audiences for years with her unique blend of opera pop and booze. With a career spanning ...a very, very long time.....Katya claims to have invented Popera, romanced William Shatner, and lived next to John Lennon at the Dakota during her stint in New York City during the 1970's. Once Eastern Europe’s greatest Mezzo-Soprano...understudy, the Countess now spends her days beautifying the masses at Macy's Department store, as everyone’s favorite Chanel counter lady. She spends her evenings crooning and drinking her away through the finer theaters, bars and bath houses of America.

Named "Best Drag Act" in 2008 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian and "Best Actor" in a musical Bay Area Theater Critics Association for "Katya a Holiday Spectacular 2009.” Katya has appeared in various theatrical runs and nightclubs including sold out Shows at the RRazz room, The New Conservatory Theater, The Eureka Theater, Trannyshack, and monthly shows at San Francisco's Premiere piano bar…Martuni's. Katya is the creation of San Francisco native, J. Conrad Frank.
